Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP): Current Development and Trends in Educational Leadership

The Open University of Cyprus (OUC), and more specifically the Postgraduate Programme (MA) in “Educational Leadership and Policy” and the OUC Mobility Office, are organizing an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) entitled: “Current Development and Trends in Educational Leadership”. The BIP will be held in Nicosia, Cyprus, from June 17 to June 21, 2024. The specific BIP seeks to present the contemporary development and trends that concern the scientific subject of educational leadership (with reference to school leadership), covering a wide spectrum of topics and references. In particular, the BIP aims to provide an overview of current developments and trends within the field of educational leadership, with a particular focus on edupreneurial leadership, school leadership and external evaluation, educational governance, innovations, etc.) by encompassing a diverse range of topics and scholarly references.

The BIP is coordinated by the Open University of Cyprus, and the following Universities from seven (7) countries are the members of the consortium: University of Primorska, Complutense University of Madrid, Stockholm University, University of Coimbra, Vytautas Magnus University, University of Humanities and Economics in Łódź, University of Rijeka. The University of Cyprus, the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, and the University of Glasgow are collaborating with guest instructors. Based on the specific Programme, participating academics, scholars and researchers from all around Europe will deliver presentations and workshops on current developmental trends and emerging topics within the field of educational leadership.

Blended Intensive Programmes are funded in the context of the Erasmus+ Programme, and are short, intensive programmes that use innovative ways of learning and teaching, including the use of online cooperation. By enabling new and more flexible mobility formats that combine physical mobility with a virtual part, BIPs aim at reaching all types of students from all backgrounds, study fields and cycles.
